Staying Productive and Knowing Where to Go
Google Drive
There isn’t actually that much that I store up in Drive.
Mostly documents and spreadsheets from undergrad, and the reason I have them with Google is because I was too lazy to install LibreOffice.
Exporting all the files and storing them in Dropbox was pretty easy, along with installing LibreOffice.
Not a lot of love lost here; I just don’t spend much time in Drive.
Google Keep
I migrated all of my notes to Todoist, and..
One feature that I miss: the open note option in Keep. I need notes to myself! Unstructured, random, notepad-style notes.
I also tried out Wunderlist, but couldn’t get used to the UI.
The hardest part about migrating here was getting my fiancée to switch platforms. We share a grocery list + a general errand list, so pitching the product change was key.
She’s been aware of my Google Breakup project, and is clearly supportive :)
Google Maps
I can’t really win here.
Apple Maps still sucks. After a trip to Dallas, it led me astray 3/5 times.
Also, Waze is now owned by Google.
Google, you win this round.
